  The True Spirit of Fasting As I am communing with the Spirit, I have literally been in spiritual torment. There is so much evil and wickedness in this world. Demonic possession and witchcraft is manifesting right before our eyes. Much of the evil is directed at our kids. And people are complacent as if God does not care. It is written, "It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones" (Luke 17: 2, KJV).   New Beginnings and Recompense I am reading in the 40th chapter of Isaiah and I want to point out to you some things that the Spirit is showing me. God is about to turn some things upside down. It is written, "Clear the way for the LORD in the wilderness [remove obstacles]; Make straight and smooth in the desert a highway for our God. "Every valley shall be raised, and every mountain and hill made low; And let the rough ground become plain, and the rugged places a broad valley" (Isaiah 40: 3-4, AMP). In other words.   Focusing on Divine Correction in 2023 This morning I was reading a post by someone close to me. And I began to compare myself to them. This person has many talents, and my flesh was attempting to deceive me into attacking and belittling their efforts. It was coming from a place of the past pain that they inflicted on me. But what if this stemmed from envy and jealousy? These are negative spirits that needed to be addressed immediately and the Holy Spirit corrected my thoughts. My flesh wanted to rebel, but I knew that it was for my good. "FOR THE LORD DISCIPLINES and CORRECTS THOSE WHOM HE LOVES, AND HE PUNISHES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES and WELCOMES [TO HIS HEART]" (Hebrews 12: 6, AMP).   Lactose Intolerance OK, this is a word the Lord gave me this on my ride home. It is such a powerful word that I'm giving it to you I want to give you the context surrounding this revelation. Because of the recent snowstorm, I spent the whole weekend at work. Literally. I slept and ate and worked while at my place of employment. The LORD spoke the phrase into my spirit, "lactose intolerant". The Holy Spirit is speaking. God cannot give the people discernment. He cannot teach them. They cannot tolerate an advanced diet. They can't even tolerate milk. It is written, "I fed you with milk, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Even now you are still not ready" (1 Corinthians 3: 2, AMP).   Strengthen Me in Your Word When you walk with God. There will be many days where it is just you and Him. Just like many of the prophets, and men and women of God. You have to encourage yourself. I often ask the Spirit to uplift me. Strengthen me. Give me hope in dry places. This is my prayer, and it is manifested in Isaiah 25 and 26. As Isaiah prophesy's God's judgment for the people. It is written, "O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will praise and give thanks to Your name; for You have done miraculous things, plans formed long, long ago, [fulfilled] with perfect faithfulness" (Isaiah 25: 1, AMP). I am learning more and more to meditate on God's favor. How He has delivered me out of many situations. His guidance in my life. Morning Meditations In the mornings when I wake, I thank Him.
