 I am thankful that I am capable of communing with the Holy Spirit. Having some time off before I start my next assignment and while we were in fellowship, He encouraged me to take a vacation with my two youngest children.

It will be their first real vacation and the fact that I am able to do so is a blessing. For approximately six years following my divorce, I had been sleeping on the floor. I made sure that my kids had beds after some time, and this did not necessarily bother me. I had just gotten so used to it. But the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, "get a bed".

Likewise telling me to stop living in a scarcity mindset. (Thank you, Tony Gaskins!) He loves me and wants to give me the desires of my heart according to His will. I never have experienced true love from family or friends and now I know that it is okay.

God has been with me from the beginning I am thankful that I care enough for me to work on self. I am crying while I write this because I have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful for my therapist and how she encourages me to do the work even when it is painful.
