Never Despise New Beginnings!!!
When I say this, I mean never forsake God’s mercy when He gives you an opportunity to start over. Chapter 19 in the Book of Numbers is relatively short. As I was praying for discernment, I couldn’t help but question why it was written and what it meant for the children of Israel.
God is merciful and forgiving. And prior to this time Israel was experiencing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of family members and friends. Because Death himself is a living entity, there are commandments that needed to be followed to invoke spiritual healing. When done in obedience and of a pure heart they will manifest into a holistic healing of the mind, body, and soul.
It is why it is written as a prayer taught by Jesus to guide us. “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6: 9-11, KJV).
Many blessings are forfeited when we refuse to let go of the past. The curses and hindrances in our lives that keep us stagnant. Knowing that we will be judged for this because it is never of God when we choose to do so.
