Set Structure and Boundaries in Love!!!
I want to speak on a precept that is crucially important. As much as asking for a deeper understanding and relationship with Christ Jesus, we must ask for a zealous spirit in righteous indignation for Him. It is a commandment from our God, and rightfully so.
“But this is how you shall deal with them: you shall tear down their altars and smash to pieces their sacred pillars, and cut down their Asherim (symbols of the goddess Asherah), and burn their carved or sculpted images in the fire. For you are a holy people [set apart] to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be a people for His own possession [that is, His very special treasure]” (Deuteronomy 7: 5-6, AMP).
For it is this same zeal that the LORD has for His people. “For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this” (Isaiah 37: 32, KJV).
The biblical definition of a remnant is “a small number of people who remain faithful to God. Often after a period of judgment or widespread apostasy. Who survive catastrophic situations, choosing to remain true to God, despite wicked worldly influences and influencers. Fulfilling God’s purpose when the masses fail to do so”.
Let me remind you truthfully, why many turn back from walking with the LORD. People will lie to you and belittle you for being weak when it is the total opposite. This walk is not for the faint at heart. Read the aforementioned verses carefully and meditate on them. It is lonely and difficult. There is but only a true remnant who must be willing to forsake all others. Jesus must be your priority.
He attempted to prepare us for this. “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not (Now pay attention!) take his CROSS [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me] is not worthy of Me” (Matthew 10: 37-38, AMP).
